Boudoir Studios New York Presents: Secrets Of Session Day Revealed Part II:
by Francesca Flansburg
Working with Andrea
once again, we’re sharing what it’s really like to have your boudoir photos taken at BSNY. This week, nicki and brittany share their personal experiences working with their photographer, andrea.
Nicki:
“So I have had the privilege of being photographed by Andrea for multiple kinds of shoots. Sometimes I've been the practice ‘model’ for various things she wanted to learn. But I truly got to feel like her client when we did our live shoot on Facebook back in 2020. It was amazing! Andrea brought an enthusiastic energy that was contagious. Her coaching directions were clear and detailed and once I effectively followed all her directions, she excitedly let me know to stay in my pose and she shot away from different angles.”
“She continually encouraged me, I felt like I had my own personal cheerleader and when she got the shot, she exclaimed with awe and excitement and showed me the image on the back of the camera. Then it was my turn to feel awe and excitement. ‘Wow, that really is me!! And I look like that!!!’ It was so motivating and so much fun. Andrea is an amazing photographer and posing coach, you truly feel like she has your back and doing a shoot with her is like hanging out with a friend (which I may be biased, because she is one of my dearest friends, but I know her clients feel this way too!).”
“To this day, when I wake up, one of the first things I see every morning is the acrylic image on the front cover of my album from that shoot and I still can access the feelings of how fun, enriching, and exciting that experience was. Thank you, Andrea!”
Brittany:
“I got to have Andrea be my photographer when our team did our own photoshoots at the (B) Transformed airbnb we rented. It was my first time with Andrea, having done several shoots with Asif before, and now I can say I truly can't decide which one I'd rather work with! Working with Andrea was a wonderful experience!”
“For me, the sound of her voice made me feel so comfortable, it's hard to explain! It's kind of both soft-spoken and strong when she's coaching me through the poses and it is so empowering! ‘Beautiful! Now tilt your head back just a little to your left, sorry, MY left, your right! Yes, HOLD IT, HOLD IT! PERFECT!’ Her way of interacting is so comforting and relaxing. And the images she created are just stunning!”
