If you’ve decided that it’s time for you to experience your own boudoir or intimate photo shoot, that’s kind of a big deal! There’s a lot to think about and plan for as you prepare for your special day, and we can help you with all of it. Today, let us guide you in choosing the perfect shoes, accessories, and ways to get your tootsies camera-ready!

Let’s start by acknowledging that there is no right or wrong when it comes to what shoes you wear or whether you go barefoot. A little of each can provide some variety in your images, helping to express different, sexy sides of you. However, when deciding on whether to wear stilettos or army boots, take cues from the outfits and/or styles that you want to showcase.
When choosing heels, keep in mind that a tall, skinny heel (think stiletto) will elongate your legs and accentuate your curves nicely. Some say that wedges and kitten heels may shorten the appearance of your legs. Also be mindful of shoes that cut you off at the ankle for the same reason. If you’re like me, and walking in tall heels is cumbersome, remember that walking gracefully is NOT a requirement for rockin’ those babies in your photos. If you plan to wear stockings, try to avoid pairing them with open-toes because it can sometimes appear unflattering. Again, there’s no right or wrong when it comes to your style. Aaaand, we know how to maximize your look no matter what you wear. But if you’re having trouble deciding which shoes to pack for your shoot, you’re safe choosing one solid black pair and another pair in a neutral tone. If a pop of color appeals to you, the sky is the limit!

In addition to heels you can of course opt for other types of shoes. Sexy slippers pair well with lingerie, sporty shoes look spectacular paired with your favorite jersey, and don’t get me started on the versatility of boots because…well…I could go on for days! Aside from shoes, adorn your feet with over-the-knee socks to accompany a cozy fall or winter look. Also fun? Wear toe rings, ankle bracelets, or barefoot sandals to add some pizazz to your pedicure! And on that note, don’t forget to show your feet a little love with a pedicure and some targeted exfoliation and moisturizing leading up to session day. Especially if you plan to expose the toes.
Lastly, be sure to stay true to your personal style. When it comes to the shoes you choose, just think about what makes you happy and how you want to feel. Don’t be afraid to get creative and, most importantly, have fun with it!
