Into the Wild- Benefits of Having Your TribE

by Francesca Flansberg

The core of mans’ spirit comes from new experiences.
— Jon Krakauer ("Into the Wild")

Are you ready for the experience of a lifetime? Embarking on a boudoir photo shoot is a wild ride. From deciding on your particular boudoir vibe to sitting down for your image reveal, it can be an outrageous adventure! Luckily, you don’t have to do it alone. With (B) Transformed, your experience comes with a tribe of like-minded lovelies along on the journey.

Having social support from your tribe can be exactly what you need to go fearlessly ‘into the wild.’ Throughout your experience, you’ll have each other to provide encouragement and exchange ideas. Having support from your own friends and family is priceless; however, support from your fellow tribeswomen is unique because they can truly understand every aspect, from beginning to end, of this transformative endeavor.

Encouraging each other to take reasonable risks and explore your comfort zones in a safe, non-judgmental space is super healthy. You get the chance to grow together, learning about yourself and others by expressing and finding your unique style. Within your tribe, you will find others who share your passion for self-expression and self-exploration. You will find people who lift you up or calm you down when you need it most. You will find others who understand what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. Ultimately, you just might find new friends.

Through encouraging your fellow tribeswomen, you may even realize that what you say to them applies to you as well! If someone is feeling a little shaky, wouldn’t you tell them that what they’re feeling is completely normal and that they have the power within to push through the fear? Of course, you have that same power within you! We all do. We sometimes treat others better than we treat ourselves though. And even though we might realize that on one level, it’s different when we can learn it experientially through our work with others. Transformative, even. . . Together we are cultivating a part of our identity that says we are bold, beautiful, sexy, and empowered women.

Venturing into this experience along other brave souls allows you to share tips and ideas and discover new approaches. It offers a venue in which you can ask honest questions and get real, valuable feedback from those who are also invested in the process. Not only will you reap the benefits from your fellow tribeswomen, but you will feel great when you provide that much-needed encouragement and say just the right thing to someone else. Positivity (just like bravery) is contagious!

Of course, if you decide to venture into the wild yourself, without the (B) Transformed tribe, you always have the support of fierce and fabulous women within the Boudoir Lounge, our private facebook group. Taking part in any healthy group, like these, helps us to become psychologically stronger and more comfortable in our beautiful skin.

Entering into the wild ride of your own personal boudoir shoot can be a fun, uplifting, life-changing, empowering, and meaningful experience. Taking this journey with a tribe of amazing and unique women, such as yourself, can be utterly transformative. It reminds me of yet another quote from Jon Krakauer, from Into the Wild, in which he states, “Happiness [is] only real when shared.”
