How To Keep COVID From Ruining Your Wedding Day
By now, the writing is on the wall proclaiming that 2020 weddings have been postponed, canceled or reduced to a small gathering. Most vendors have been understanding by refunding deposits or being flexible enough to reschedule COVID brides, but what happens next?
Nearly 450,000 US weddings were originally planned for March, April, and May of this year, according to the data from WeddingWire and The Knot. The tsunami that hit the wedding industry left an emotional aftershock as so many couples saw their much-anticipated wedding date come and go. I’ve seen this across my own newsfeed on social media, with replacements such as a quiet quarantine dinner instead of the reception party. Some couples have resorted to small unions and a few states even allow some form of self-uniting marriages!
The “big day” is a right of passage for most adults to go through and after finding the right person, careful planning, and thousands of dollars, only to be suddenly side-swiped by COVID. . . there is a huge emotional toll on couples from putting such a large event on hold.
I still have all my “save the date” photo reminders hanging on my refrigerator from last year. This spring, there became a steady flow of “Love is patient” rescheduling cards instead of anticipated invitations. Although we live in a modern world, one thing has always held true. . . the marriage of two souls is an incredible milestone.
Let’s talk about our idea for how to keep COVID from ruining your big day. . .
Maybe you have thought about a boudoir session but, didn’t have enough time before your wedding. Perhaps you came across the idea too late into the process? What if you surprise your fiance with a bridal boudoir gift on your original wedding date or for the new big day!? If your original wedding date is yet to come, but has been rescheduled, you can still make that day special with an unforgettable giftof boudoir photos. What a great way to commemorate your intended “anniversary date” in spite of the COVID setbacks!
Besides being a great gift, doing a boudoir session is also a great “pick-me-up” after going through such an emotional and uncertain time this year. Many clients have attested to the confidence and self-esteem boost after they see their gorgeous images.
I cannot express how awesome the whole experience was. And the quality of the pictures was stunning. To see myself in a whole new level and the beauty that was captured was just unreal. Right from the start my photographer made me feel very special, beautiful, unique and most importantly; comfortable. [The team] helped me with my hair and makeup, choose the right outfits for my body and personality. And believe it or not, there was A LOT of laughing involved. I personally *HIGHLY* recommend to anyone even thinking about it. Thank you all to The Boudoir Studio for making this such a special gift for my husband and to help me show him how much I love him everyday. ❤ -Jessica K. (Google Review)
