Who says need to wear lingerie for a boudoir session?! Maybe you have assumed that you have to wear lingerie for a boudoir session and this has been holding you back from booking your own shoot. If you don’t consider yourself to be a girly girl, but still want to see your sexy side, here are 7 easy outfit ideas that will find themselves in your comfort zone. Maybe you’ve never considered some of these ideas as outfits. . . so allow us to pleasantly surprise you!
Bodysuits
Bodysuits are a great option for as they provide more than enough coverage and come in a variety of colors and fabrics. You can really choose a piece that is well within your comfort zone. Still nervous? Pair it with a sheer skirt or some heels to complete the outfit!
2. Dresses
Dresses are another great option to put in your search bar when hunting for the perfect boudoir outfit. With so many different fabrics, cuts, and colors you can truly let your imagination run wild. You might have the perfect dress already sitting in your closet. In fact, here are 10 sexy things you already have for your boudoir session!
3. Dress Shirt
Whether you borrow your man’s dress shirt or use one of your own, a dress shirt provides great coverage with the flexibility to flirt with your boundaries and comfort zone. Imagine this all buttoned up, half way unbuttoned or all the way unbuttoned, yet strategically covering the girls.
4. T-Shirt
When you feel good, it looks good. Having a t-shirt as an outfit option provides immediate comfort and familiarity. What is on your t-shirt, the collar type, how it fits, and the color choice really leave endless possibilities. For your session, a t-shirt can be pulled, knotted, or tucked into many different looks as well.
5. Oversized Sweater
If you are going for a “casual vibes” type of boudoir session, then an oversized sweater might just be perfect to incorporate for your boudoir session! Grab a cup of coffee and your favorite book to complete the lazy sexy Sunday mood! Whatever it is that you want to incorporate into your session, never feel strange about fully customizing your session with your photographer.
6. Work Out Clothes
Workout clothes are super cute these days! And whether you are burning the calories in them or not. . . we won’t tell!! Pick up a cute bralette with matching leggings or check out super stylish yoga bras with intricate backs! If it starts getting too complicated, wearing a cami and short shorts is a great boudoir look as well.
7. Linen/Blanket
Often overlooked, a blanket or plain white sheet can serve as a boudoir “look” to imply that you are fully or partially nude. There is no need to bring in your own sheet as we do have a number of different linens at the studio. If you do have a special blanket that you’d like to incorporate, please do bring it in!
