Boudoir at Home
We are 50 days into social distancing here in New York State. Some of us have embraced this time at home and the other half of us may be feeling a little stir crazy. Whatever side you find yourself in, everyone can benefit from a little change in routine! Let’s swap out our leggings for lingerie, put a little makeup on, and take some sexy pictures right in your own home! To get started, let’s talk about location. The bedroom is your sanctuary and a no-brainer place to have your boudoir photos captured, but let’s think outside of the box and explore some other options!
The Living Room
There are just so many poses, combined with the lighting and furniture in a living room, that can create truly unique photos! You can be stretched out across your couch, sitting cozied up with a blanket on the floor or casually looking out of a window. We spend most of our time, at home, in our living rooms (especially nowadays) sowhy not turn your living room into a sensual space for a day?
2. The Hallway
Let’s create a story with your boudoir photos. Maybe you are fresh out of the shower, wrapped in a towel, and on your way to the bedroom. A hallway, especially one with a window, is a great unassuming spot for your next boudoir session. It can also create a great series of photos for a mobile app or slideshow to gift to your significant other. What a great way to spice up your quarantine “vacation!”
3. The Dining Room
It can be argued that many different types of foods can be categorized as an aphrodisiac. Since you’re all dressed up -looking like a snack- let’s climb up on the dining room table for your next boudoir session! Polish up your table and it can create a gorgeous mirror effect to give your sultry photos an artistic effect. You can incorporate food, champagne, and for an implied nudity look, wear your apron!
4. The Bathroom
If you are trying to surprise your significant other with at-home boudoir photos, the bathroom might just be the perfect place to lock yourself into! Let’s do a bubble bath, a milk bath adorned with flowers, or a shower session! Don’t feel as though you absolutely need to be in your “birthday suit” in order to take photos in the tub or shower. A wet white t-shirt leaves enough to the imagination without revealing all the goods!
5. The Kitchen
Let’s soften up those straight lines and hard surfaces in the kitchen with YOUR curves! You can climb up on the counters, utilize your fun decor, and set the menu for the night as you! The possibilities are endless.
6. The Man Cave
Let’s take his favorite person, (you obvi) and his favorite room, and take some stunning pictures! If you are doing a boudoir session for that special person in your life how much fun would it be to take over the man cave? I’m telling you, he will never look at that pool table the same again! Throw on one of his favorite jerseys to make it extra special too!
7. Outside!
Let’s go out on the balcony, patio, garden, or even the street! We all work so hard on our space, inside and out, let’s use your gorgeous outside space as a backdrop for your next boudoir session! This is another location that is only restricted by your imagination.
Now that you have all of these ideas. . . It’s time to book your session!
Don’t worry! Our photographers connect with you virtually and coach you along throughout the entire process. From helping you pick a location, what to wear, and (most importantly) how to pose! Let's take this time, during “the pause” to light a fire in yourself and in your love life. Click below for more info!
